This commitment to being fully integrated into the Springfield community is what makes Springfield Little Theatre a true community theatre. Murphy’s and The Old Glass Place, partnering with other arts organizations like The Gillioz Theatre, and the theatre’s youth performance troupes perform regularly at local festivals and events. Also, SLT has been producing shows in other venues such as Nathan P. The growth that Springfield’s theatre has seen in recent years has allowed for the theatre to reach even greater numbers by expanding outreach efforts into school systems with SLT On Wheels, bringing live performances into the schools themselves.

The moments, feelings, conversations and relationships that are created by experiencing live theatre-that’s Springfield Little Theatre. We are not just in our community we are our community. We’re in the conversations had on the car ride home.

We’re in every smile, laugh and tear of each audience member as they’re watching a show. We’re in the lifelong friendships that began on the first day of a rehearsal. We’re in the drive that it takes to push yourself to try something new. We’re in the very first step a kid takes in his tap shoes.
